$-$$ Captain Howes’ historic gingerbread-trimmed house is a bright and cheerful place to start your day. Select from a variety of breakfast entrées (try the heart-shaped Love Waffle or Eggs Benedict) or lighter fare. At lunchtime, enjoy a sandwich, homemade soup or salad. For an afternoon pick-me-up, transport yourself to merry old England during high tea and relax with a cup of flavorful tea or a Teatini (a nonalcoholic martini).
